Chess Trivia for Kids: Join us on Tuesday, March 24th at 7:00 PM for a fun-filled evening of trivia! Test your knowledge of rules, history, and famous players for a chance to win prizes like mini chess sets and books.
Simultaneous Chess Exhibition: On Monday, March 23rd at 7:00 PM, take on National Master Bilgen Sazci! This is a rare opportunity to play in a "simul" environment where everyone who wins or draws takes home a prize.
Spaces are limited for both events, so be sure to Zelle your entry fee and complete the registration forms before the deadlines. We can’t wait to see you across the board!
Sunday Chess In Millburn Rated U600 & U1200 Tournament
Join us for the Chess In Millburn 93rd Tournament on Sunday, March 22nd, at 27 Bleeker Street. This USCF-rated event kicks off at 1:30 PM sharp and features a 4-round Swiss system with competition sections for players rated Under 600 and Under 1200. Be sure to arrive by 1:15 PM and complete the $35 Zelle registration by 1:00 PM on the day of the event to secure your spot!

Ready to put your strategy to the ultimate test? Join the Chess In Millburn Rated U1800 Tournament this April for four weeks of high-stakes, rated competition! Whether you're looking to climb the ranks or defend your rating, this four-round Swiss System tournament offers the perfect arena for players rated between 1000 and 1800. Matches take place every Thursday night at 7:00 PM (April 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd) at 27 Bleeker St. in Millburn. With a 60-minute time control and a prize pool of up to $315, the stakes are as high as the level of play. Don’t miss out—secure your spot for just $35 by Zelling your entry fee to chessinmillburn@gmail.com before the April 2nd deadline. The board is set; it’s your move!

Join the Spring Morning Camp from March 30th through April 3rd for a week of engaging lessons, tactical puzzle training, and practice sessions. Held daily from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 27 Bleeker St. in Millburn, the camp welcomes students of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. Registration is available for $75 per day or $330 for the full week.

Congratulating our student Matthew
We are thrilled to celebrate Matthew Su for his fantastic performance at the 1st Annual New York Metro Area Scholastic Chess Championships held on January 3–4, 2026. Competing in the Elementary Under 1500 section, Matthew earned an impressive 4/5 score to secure a well-deserved 3rd place finish. Beyond his success on the board, Matthew also had the inspiring opportunity to meet the world’s youngest Grandmaster, making for a truly unforgettable weekend. We are incredibly proud of Matthew’s dedication and congratulate him on this wonderful milestone!
Congratulating our student Max
We are delighted to celebrate Max Liu’s outstanding performance at the 2025 National K-12 Grades Championship in Spokane, Washington. Competing in the 4th Grade Championship from December 12–14, Max navigated a highly competitive field of 147 participants to finish with an impressive 5/7 score, placing 26th overall and tying for 14th. This remarkable result is a testament to Max’s dedication and skill, and we couldn’t be prouder of his achievement on the national stage. Congratulations, Max, on this well-deserved success!
